The Sims 5 is in Development

We hope that the new Sims game will take the series to the next level. The game is being developed, but will include non-binary and trans pronouns, be multiplayer and accept different cultures.

Game is still in development

Despite controversy surrounding Sims 4 and Project Olympus being cancelled, the next Sims game remains in development. Maxis and EA confirmed that the game is in development. They say it will have more options to play and will put an increased focus on online multiplayer.

Maxis and EA have also confirmed that the next Sims game will feature co-op playand enhanced customization options. Both companies have announced that they will be rolling out features to the public soon. The Sims 5 will launch sometime in 2024.

Maxis and EA have yet to reveal the name of the next Sims game however, it is likely to be called Project Rene. The game is currently in development and will fundamentally alter the world of The Sims.

Maxis also announced that Project Rene is in the hands of an increasing number of developers. They are promising to keep fans informed of the development progress over the next several years.
